[Kundalini Yoga] Re: How to begin with

For a Kriya to begin with, go with whatever you are attracted to. If you can't decide, let me suggest Kirtan Kriya (Lesson 15 http://www.kundaliniyoga.org/kyt15.html ) If I were to write an ad for Kirtan Kriyait would say

Powerful yet Gentle!
Proven by science to increase the left and right frontal cortex!
May cure Alzheimer's!
Easy and Fun!

As far as starting with 2 hours a day, go gentle. if you already do 2 hours of yoga, then 2 hours of Kundalini is no big deal, but if you are currently doing one yoga class a week (or whatever) , it might be too much to digest all at once. Keep it fun and you will keep at it for a long time.

One idea would be to take a core practice (11 or 31 minutes of Kirtan Kriya) and absolutely commit to do it every morning. If you miss, do it before bed. Commit to 40 days. Then add some routines, maybe work with a DVD, 2 days one week, 3 days the next and so on.

I like working with DVDs because it encourages me to do the full amount of minutes.

Be well, Tom
