PS. Also pushing yourself is counter productive. But you do need the

Dear Cesar,

Your spirit is very strong and this is good. As I suggested in a recent
email, the lack of energy to keep going is often due to low
testosterone. Perhaps you could see a doctor and have it tested. For
those men that I know that got a testosterone patch, their lives changed
dramatically. It is easier to be positive when you body has what it
needs and hormonal balance is essential.

One thing folks don't realize are the effects of whiplash.  As I like to put it, it's the gift that keeps on giving.  Of course, it's also the gift one does not want.  My advice, and I am sure I will be crucified on this site for saying this, and this is it:  Kundalini meditations will in time help to heal your injury (not the bad part), but I would ignore the postures and do all your visualizations whilst on a recliner.  It does alleviate the back and spine issues, all the while allowing you to focus on your meditations.  This/my suggestion is based on experience, not theory, so give it a try.
 
One more thing: If you really want to do the postures, then do the postures in your astral temple.  I have made great gains by doing them there whilst meditating in a recliner.

Sat Nam Julie,

Just came back from an in depth Yoga posture workshop this weekend where the focus was on helping people with injuries and restrictions to assume the right postures as they are performed in Kriyas. One advice I got there and which I would like to pass on to you is that in order to support the healing process you need to move whichever part of the body is injured, in this case your neck, regularly - but in a very gentle way without putting pressure on it.

So for your neck you could work it by looking left and right, up and down and ears to shoulders on each side and if you do neck rolls be careful and do it very gentle and slow, as this is not exactly the natural way for the neck to move, the movements above though are.

So before you do any Kriya I suggest an extended warm-up session, especially focusing on the neck and shoulders. A few sets that I can suggest are:

I can tell you that the onset of more pain after such an injury is how it goes for this type of injury that is why they send people to the hospital and insist on it in accidents often the injury does not even manifest the pain of the injury till later on. To keep yourself limber and movement in those areas and massage is what I found worked the best in my like kind injury the massage really helped me when I was having horrid muscle spasms. T-bone crashes are the worst type for such injury as the neck goes in a direction that is not normal for a neck its much like the concussion injury with neck that football players get so that may help you to look up some more information as well. Im not a Dr so I don't know what they have told you to do but I found that the movement kept the muscles limber and less pain but I was really only able to start to do so after the massage had helped take the spasm and tightness out and took the edge off the pain.

A good joint vitamin is what I took to specific for/to joints it seemed to help I would tell you the kind but they no longer make them was ligatend by Twin Labs

Exercise and movement start out a little at a time.

[Kundalini Yoga] one step forward, two steps back

 

Sat nam !

Some time ago, I saw a person who did the vedic horoscope for me. He gave me a mantra he said would be very helpful for me. It's a mantra to help going forward in life and stop doing one step forward, two steps back! I recognised myself in what he said really so I said OK without thinking.
Afterwards, I wanted to learn more about this mantra and tried to find it on the www. But there's nothing about it. Only one or two words that match.
Here's the mantra ( I write it as I believe it'd be written originaly but mostly as I pronounce it...):

Astika muni rajam namo namah.

If you've heard about it before please let me know.
Otherewise, I'd really appreciate to find a mantra that'd have the same effects (to prevent making one step forward, two steps back!).

I had an accident five days ago (a car crashed into the side of mine) gradually each day has brought more pain and discomfort to my back and neck. I have been to see my doctor who diagnosed a whip lash injury caused by the impact of the bump! He advised rest and said it will heal with time.

I do not want to stop my practice but at the same time I want to heal and support all of me as best I can!

Can anyone offer any advice/guidance? I would especially appreciate feedback on any suitable kyiyas that could help.

Hello you are blessed as you see that your thoughts are not natural at least you
know that I am very blessed but i too have this problem it is only if you act on
it I think it is ok to fantasize it helps to release this negative as you call
it energy This energy is a gift but needs to be channeled your mind is separate
from your body if you feel aggression this can be released in other healthy
ways such as cooking jogging bicycling Remember feelings aren't facts!

[Kundalini Yoga] Need of great help !

 

Greetings to everyone ...

Please bear with me as some of you may not like as many of you are a very
pure soul type of personality and may ignore. Please read the complete mail
as I want to tell you what I am going through.

I have a severe problem. Its been a while that I have started meditation,
kundalini sadhna, hatha yoga, laya yoga . Say it my desperation or
fickle-mindness, I start every new advice in spiritual practice. I can say
that to an extent I am a changed being.

The problem is that in my childhood(when I was 8-9 yrs), I had been very
inclined to sex naturally (without an reason whatsoever) and it had once
occupied my thoughts for complete 5-8 yrs of my life without any other
thoughts in my mind(even though I was just a child without knowing any
actual meaning of it, it all started by itself) and I had imagined every
possible imagination/fantacies related to it. So you can imagine how
frustrated I had been in childhood.

But then things changed drastically which pulled me towards finding the
actual meaning of life. Now I have been trying to get out of every last
piece of it But after certain interval(2-3 weeks), negative/sex thoughts are
so powerful that they drag me down to lowest possible level. I start putting
good thoughts in my mind or do some good actions, but that effort turns
useless and I get used to my old habbits. I again find myself riding on
negative thoughts craving for desires/sex and I again starts liking it(I
start watching porn movies/sites). It happens when things look at a good
pace and I feel like that I am close to something serene phase in
meditaion/yoga and It follows immediately.

One thing I have noticed is that I return to the bad habbits when things
doesn't work out for me and I feel despaired.

I must say that I am not a blessed person like most of you who are so pure
from birth that they can get easily gel in with almighty/positive energies
and activities like kundalini/meditaion/yoga.

I feel like I had been punished for my some bad deeds/thoughts/karmas.
my devotion gets break everynow and again. I feel very low as hell which I
am feeling right now. I don't even know that Whether I will be able reach to
the blessed state of meditaion or not, which happens when the almighty has
accepted us part of him.

I feel that death can not be worse than actions caused by negative
thoughts/bad karma. I know that My/Our Almighty is very kind and he grace us
without even asking anything in return But how can I get his complete
kindness. It looks it won't be possible in this life because of the burden
of bad karmas.

If anyone can guide me it will be of great help. I don't know if there is
any cure possible to it and how can I overcome it.
