Besides fluoride, commercial toothpastes can contain many other toxic ingredients such as SLS (sodium laurel sulfite) which is added as a sudsing agent but also denatures protein, triclosan .which is basically a pesticide added to kill germs and which will mix with chlorinated water to form many nasty compounds. I like to use only nontoxic and organic body care products so I use Miessence from Australia. For my personal oral hygiene routine I do oil pulling in the AM and then after rinsing I brush using the breath freshener spray (Miessence also has toothpaste) Ilike the spray as it has many essential oils that are antibacterial and it makes my mouth feel very clean. In the PM I again brush with the spray and the I rinse and swollow with Fast-tract which is a probiotic liquid. This helps populate my mouth with good bacteria that keep the bad ones in check. The total routine keeps my mouth clean and my teeth free of plaque.
