[Kundalini Yoga] re: Full moon meditation

 

Thank you, Pamela - that's really interesting.

I've done things very much like this in Wiccan circles (down the the palms up and down). I know that interest in yoga, including tantric texts, was huge in British magical orders from the late 19th to mid-20th centuries, and that the interest amongst the general public boomed in the late 60s to 70s. I'm certain it had a great influence on the creation and evolution of Wicca and related traditions, as people strove to create or reinterpret native European pre-Christian religion and fill in the gaping holes with material from Asia and Africa, particularly those areas with a large British presence.

Given my experiences, I can see that this meditation would be a very potent healing method.
