[Kundalini Yoga] Re: Kundalini DVD recommendation for a newbie

 

Dear Roberto,

Although this is a book rather than a DVD, you may want to check out David Shannahoff-Khalsa's _Kundalini Yoga Meditation_, which contains therapeutic exercises for many mental and emotional difficulties. He has a chapter on anxiety and one on chronic fatigue syndrome. The exercises are not strenuous, and many can even be done sitting in a chair.

I have personally used some of the routines for anxiety, and they work! After practicing them faithfully for several months, I was able to overcome a long-standing fear of crowds to attend my son's wedding and smile, chat, and otherwise act like a civilized person. <vbg> (If only I could just maintain that discipline now that the pressure is off... <laughing at self>)
