Re: [Kundalini Yoga] sodarshan chakra kriya

I did this one for 900 days. The effects lessened in time- as with most KY kriyas. With raw foods they tell you to have colonic irrigation to clean out the deeper levels of toxicity 1 month otherwise you´re constantly bathing yourself in old toxins and you get older faster..cause you´re body can´t keep up with pushing out the toxins...I suspect it is the same with pranayam in the beginning you clear out some of the mental garbage for the first time and you feel great, but in the pranayam or kriya stirs up so much junk that it´s hard to get the mental clarity of the first 120 days or 180 days of the meditation if you´re not doing shatkarmas..or most of the vital energy is going to purify your body and not your mind. What was missing for me was a sustained projection of the neutral mind, or perhaps I blocked myself in expecting a result.

The practice that YB left us was amazing however there´s a missing link. I think kundalini gives gifts and wisdom...but also it is an intelligent force..that takes away gifts when the individual wants to use it´s power for selfish reasons. The universe isn´t just going to give you gifts and power on tap just because you did the kriya...you must show that you´re worthy. Character and virtue must also become a part of our practice. Maybe is wasn´t worthy. Raw vegan foods seem to be a key part to a spiritual practice and maintaining an alkaline blood ph. Eat alkalizing live foods for 10 days and write back to me. .Chris

It's the favorite meditation of Gurutej and Ravi Singh, both of whom have done it for over 19 years- is that an endorsement or what?

That being said, Yogi B had "strong praise" for many different meditations. You'll just have to experience it yourself. The suggestion about purification is something I hadn't heard before, but it makes sense, and you are suggested to be a Veggie if you do KY, which does leave you with cleaner innards automatically.

So darshon, kirtan, and sat kriya are said to be the top 3, and they are very, very different. But I've had the most powerful experience to date with Shabad kriya, which just goes to show...it's your experience.
