RE: [Kundalini Yoga] White turban

Sat Nam,

I have just started wearing a white turban, during teacher training workshops, etc. It DOES make a difference! You do understand that through the practice of kundalini yoga, you are trying to raise your kundalini up from your root chakra and through your crown chakra. You are doing all of this work (breathing, movement, chanting and focusing) to get a specific result. Your higher chakra is covered/protected with head covering. When you chant/meditate, the meridians around the parameters of your face are massaged and energized with wearing a turban.

As Sevak Singh Khalsa (one of my favorite KY teachers here in Phoenix, Arizona) says, "you can take an airplane, or you can take a rocket ship ... your choice!" He was referring to the difference in practicing kundalini yoga or another form of yoga. He is correct. I notice that wearing a tightly wrapped white turban, gets me there faster and safely.

Blessings!
Padmani Kaur
