Re: [Kundalini Yoga] Question about Sadhana

Dear Cindy,

* Wow. I admire your readiness to jump in!

I was wondering: Do I need to read a special book about sadhana or can I just wake up at 4:00 AM and practice until 6:00 AM using a book like "Relax and Renew"

* All the information you need is in Relax and Renew and in other KY manuals. Read about the compents of Sadhana and follow that sequence. Pick a set and meditation that you would like to do.

and go through the exerices in the order in which they're presented in the book?

* Except for the tune in and warm ups (which you can choose to do or not depending on the kriya you are doing), the kriyas are not presented in the order that you must do them. It is ok do do them in that order, but not required.

Should I begin by starting at 5:00 AM and work my way back to 4:00 AM?

* If you can get up at 4 Am and that works for your body, ie. you do not fall asleep during the day and get exhausted, that is great. If you need to adjust and watch how your body adapts to the routine, starting at 5 is fine too. The important thing is do you your practice. And if you can do it for 2 hours that is wonderful.

Also, I don't have a window in my apartment that allows a lot of sun. Does this matter?

* No. Find the sun inside your mind and heart.

Blessings,

Guru Rattana :+)
