keep following your heart, you are on the right track. you said you have found "my Truth", that is HIS name - TRUTH. He is beyond religion, all religions are just made to lead to HIM. He is nameless and formless. He is the Creator Being, it is only the creation that has name and form. Physical body has a name, mind likes to deal in names and forms. One name family gives you, another name you take as your set of beliefs change eg sikh name. But still it is just another form of identity. Just to get you out of worldy mindset into a divine mindset. But, go beyond the mindset and leave your name behind as well. Forget your name, merge into HIS NAME - SAT NAAM, like a river rushing down the mountain (in humility) into the infinite ocean. Lose all sense of yourself, lose you identity and gain Inifnite Divine Power that is your very core, that is "my Truth".
Guru Nanak Dev Ji said, "Infront of you God I offer my prayer, this body and soul are all Yours. All is Your greatness, may no-one know my name." (tudh agay ardas hamaree jeeo pind sabh tera. Kahu nanak sabh teree vadaee koee nao na janay mera.).
Then when you know your Truth, when you become SATNAAM yourself, then what does it matter if someone calls you a donkey or a princess? Its just when you dont know the TRUTH of what you really are, then we try to olose our old worldy identity (family name) and then adopt a spiritual name (to at least give us good self-esteem). but, still have to go beyond that. Even many people like to add Khalsa to their name. Everyone explains that Khalsa means pure soul and that they add the word Khalsa to aspire to be this. However, Guru gobind Singh ji wrote that "Khalsa is the one who has the perfect light of God shining bright in them, otherwise no one is Khalsa." (pooran jyot jagay ghat me tab khaalas, tahi nikhaalas janaay." So really the only one who should have KHALSA in their name is the one who has an enlightened heart, who has TRUTH sittin g in all HIS glorious wonder sittin gon the throne of their heart. That is SAT - TRUTH , sitting as GURU - enlightener, in His creation. That is the closest the Creator comes into manifesting into His creation, otherwie He is never born and never dies. That is why Guru Gobind Singh ji wrote, "Khalsa is my perfect SAT GURU" (Khalsa mera satguru poora).
