[Kundalini Yoga] Re: red patches with itcheness

 

Hi Toasani -

I sympathize because I have had redness on my hands and face and it is very embarrassing.

I assume you have already looked at your environment and made sure that there is nothing obvious that you are reacting to.

Some things to try :

1) Plain old over the counter hydrocortisone cream. You don't want to do this forever, but it might bring the symptoms down

Then use one or more of these more natural solutions - Try them to see what works for you

2) Calendula cream. This is homeopathy for and can be quite soothing
3) Don't wash with soap, use Aveeno skin relief body wash
4) Use Aveeno Intense Relief hand cream. It has an oatmeal in a form that is soothing

On to yoga - you want to do the kundali exercises that are good for the liver - liver supports skin.

OK, we have looked the physical, now on to the emotional. Try EFT, also known as tapping
There are a lot of resources on the web, but I'll refer you to Brad Yates as a starting point http://www.bradyates.net/page8.html Then let your intuition guide you to other styles and find the one that is right for you.

Do this every day until the symptoms are gone. Even then, you might want to continue with Brad's "Tap o' the morning' as a daily emotional clearing.

It is possible that you will one day see all this as a blessing, a way for the internal to become external and get clear.
