SS has a great point. . . I would add to that by saying, as in his example of someone who works too slowly, start out by praising them for their thoroughness, or attention to detail, or whatever other great qualitities they have, and then draw their attention to areas that could be improved. think of your job as helping the employees refine the good work they do. . .
also - remember that "not being negative" does not equate with dropping any form of discernment. Compassionate discernment is a great virtue!!
