[Kundalini Yoga] Breathing and panic attacks

Sat nam,

I am posting this for a friend. She suffers from regular panic attacks and has for a long time. She knows how to breathe deeply, she knows how to meditate and calm herself down. But when she stops thinking about breathing, she says she "doesn't" breathe. She says she spends a good part of her day not breathing.

She's in her 60s and has lived with this for a long time. I have offered to do some breathing with her or do a kriya or meditation with her regularly. She says she will, but also says she has little discipline. Does anyone know of a simple, easy practice that I can show her?

As always, I appreciate you all taking the time to read my question and I appreciate greatly any reply you may have.

Peace,
stephanie
