Re: [Kundalini Yoga] meditation for pressure in the head

I'm no expert but I heard it's a good idea to work on all chakras equally. I want to recommend grounding but I'm not a teacher.

I finished my 40 session practice today and am ready to choose another. However, I am still dealing with the following. It has become a little more intense and is lasting most of the day (head pressure). It is definitely starting to be uncomfortable and is making me feel ill. It isn't sinuses, and it is all over the head. I had a massage yesterday and am very tight in both my heart and throat chakras. I wrote the following a week ago. I'd love to hear if I can relieve this quickly, or if I should just continue on.

One change is I have started practicing every day possible and have practice 8 days in a row now. I am also on day 7 of a 40 day meditation for the throat chakra. I believe it has been inhibited since I was 8 years old if not before.

Sat Nam!

I am at the last five sessions of a 40 session practice of the same set of kriyas. I practice 5 days a week. The last few weeks I have been having some intense feelings while practicing and afterward. I thought it was blood sugar issues as I am pretty hungry by the time I get to practice, but there is more to it than that.

I believe my throat chakra is starting to open. I have been working on this gently as it has needed to happen. Today, I felt some intense pressure in my head like the sort that would make your ears pop during my practice. I do feel the kundalini moving, but it isn't anything that I feel is out of sorts. I've never felt the kundalini in my head before (upper chakras) so could this be what this feeling is? It is more like a warm tingly feeling in the other chakra areas.

Also, I get really cold during savasana and meditation and for quite awhile after practicing. I thought maybe blood sugar there too, not sure. I haven't really had the problem of being cold ever before in my life, but I am 100 pounds lighter now than 2 years ago. :)

Nothing is happening that is making me nervous or anything. In fact, I'm feeling wonderfully about my practice and my spiritual life. I just want to check in to make sure I'm not overlooking anything that I should be aware of.

Be blessed,

Kelli
