There's a difference between physical injury and challenging the nervous system in order to strengthen it, which can be uncomfortable but non-damaging (for instance, all those repetitive arm movements in KY that tweak my negative mind!). I'm just saying, protect your knees- they have to last you a long time.
That's part of the downside of doing this on your own; hopefully your connection will be good enough for the streaming video, because Guru Rattana's classes have been designed with sensitivity to the at-home user to emphasize the awareness of the energies created. Her explanations are excellent, as is her use of the locks, breathing, and adequate rest between positions to experience the increase your awareness.
