Sat Nam
Just stick to the fundamentals of mantras.
It is always good to quote from John: "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God". Then go into the Naad and the Shabd Guru.
Then just explain how mantras work as it was taught in Teacher training.
Then you can go deeper as to the connection with all the palate points to the sella turcica, optic chiasm and the pituitary, the brain chemistry effect, the mind, or the Pavan Guru and Pranayam. But you see, this may become secondary.
The important aspect of mantras is that the are not institutionally religious but methods for spiritual people, Holy People, us included, to achieve elevated states of consciousness so that the vital life force can be tuned to the Naad. So that we can tap to the Word.
With mantras, intellect and reason matter none, but their effects is what does.
Blessings

Subject: [Kundalini Yoga] How to explain mantra to deeply Christian people

Sat Nam all........
I do have Christian students who love chanting and everything about KY, however I find myself a little tripped up in explaining chanting to other people who seem skeptical about whether it is "okay" or compatible with their religion.
I'm just looking for some simple ways of explaining and opening the door to make those people feel very comfortable in joining a class.
Thank you!
