Yes, and it does get easier to stick to your KY plans when you get results! Another thing, if you do miss a day, take it easy on yourself, you're learning. Just pick it up the next day and continue, maybe even add a few days to compensate. You will still benefit if you do 40 days with a small gap or two. It's better than getting discouraged and dropping it, and it will strengthen your resolve.
