Here's what I found , as I didn't know the maha bhanda. And, btw, it is definetly an anxiety...
Here :
"This technique consists in the application of three locks at the same time while holding the breath out in perfect posture and concentration. It is practiced after breathing exercises, Pranayama, and postures."
Is this what you were thinkig about when said that I could use the maha bhanda ?
