[Kundalini Yoga] A question about starting Kundalini yoga

 

I was told that one should not start kundalini yoga as their first yoga practice. One should do other tpyes of yoga, open his/her channels, learn about the small universe and then start Kundalini yoga.

Is this the case? I will be most grateful for the information!
