I read in a Brazilian book that amenorrhea happens to a woman who is having a retrocession in her emotional and sexual maturation. Instead of geting more mature, the woman begins to go backwards. It can happen due to a dramatic breakup with a partner or losing a beloved family member. There´s a feeling of rejection.
The problem is NOT accepting the new situation. It´s a state of denial in which the woman beings to have infantile attitudes and that reflects in her body. Being a child, she can´t menstruate.
