Did you ground well afterwards? Sit back on heels and bend forehead to the mat 
 until grounded or put thumbs on either side of third eye. 
 
 I've been doing kundalini yoga weekly for some time (and also did a 40 day 
 sadhana at 4:15 am) and do not feel it changed my sleep patterns. If anything, 
 it makes me more relaxed.

 I took my 1st class yesterday & it was wonderful! My only question is I had a 
 very hard time falling asleep last night, the class ended at 7 PM??
