The tip of the nose cultivates FOCUS. In time, you will no longer see "double" with enough practice, you will develop single/one minded concentration. Keep up!

btw, the middle of the chin settles Emotions...

I've not seen a blue light but such things are mentioned by people that do a lot more meditation than I have.

I found crossed eyes difficult at first.

Someone told me that it stretches and frees the optical nerve. Around the eyes are some of the muscles that cause tension headaches so freeing them up seems like a good idea.

I'm very interested in yoga and the eyes as I'm hoping it will stop me from needing glasses as I get older.

RE: [Kundalini Yoga] Looking at the tip of the nose

Sat Nam, Just in general, looking at the tip of the nose (with eyes 1/10
open, approximately) or just looking downward with the eyes (not tilting the
head down) lifts the optic nerve which then stimulates the Pituitary gland
(and, I think, the Pineal gland)

I have seen a number of kriyas, etc., that require eyes 9/10 closed,
looking at the tip of the nose. Does this mean looking cross eyed? I can't see
how else to do that.

If you find something please let me know.

Just thinking about the semantics of it though tells me that it could
possibly be unethical to heal others, however empowering others to heal
themselves would be another concept to consider.
